Utility Locate at Indian River Medical Center FL

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. of South Florida was contacted by Brasfield and Gorrie to locate known and unknown utilities at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach. The customer was looking to install footers for a large canopy along the exterior of a section of the medical center. Brassfield & Gorrie did not want to hit any possible buried utilities in the footer excavation areas. GPRS, Inc. arrived on site without delay using standard locating techniques as well as utilizing GPR for a full scan of the entire area, limiting any surprises of costly repairs and safety concerns. A 400 MHz antenna and RD 7000 radio detection device was used to locate all findings. Found utilities and depths were marked on the surface with typical color-coded spray paint appropriate for each type of utility that was found. Flags were also placed in grassy areas so the paint would not be removed by rain.
