Locate Reinforcement in Water Tower Foundation - MN

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems received a call from a general contractor installing a fiber line for a cellular phone carrier. The contractor was intending to core drill through the foundation of a water tower, located in Hopkins, Minnesota. The core drilling was to take place below grade, and the reinforcement in the concrete could not be damaged. Troy Bartlett of Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was contacted to locate the rebar and any possible conduits in the concrete where the coring would take place. Utilizing ground penetrating radar (GPR), Troy was able to clearly map out the reinforcement on the foundation of the water tower with clear markings.
