GPRS Used to Help Core Drillers Miss Conduits - Providence, RI

A General Contractor had a project in Providence, RI inside of a store that was being expanded into the unit next door. The scope of the project was to saw cut trenches in multiple locations in order to run electric lines. The saw cutters did not want to hit any conduits or any shallow utilities while trenching. The General Contractor decided to contact Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Massachusetts after learning that they have been in business since 2001 and each technician has the experience of performing over 350 surveys per year. GPRS was able to complete the investigation the next day and allowed the project to proceed without hitting a single conduit or shallow utility. GPRS uses real time applications and were experienced enough to be able to locate all of the conduits and reinforcing, and was able to distinguish between reinforcing and conduits to make sure nothing of importance was cut into.

Each conduit that was found and all reinforcing was marked and given a depth. GPRS Technicians also utilize a Radio Detection device in order to be able to detect all live power and radio frequencies. The General Contractor now had the information they needed to proceed with the project without causing any delay in business. The General Contractor was enamored with the quality of work that was performed and the timely, efficient manner in which it was done.
