GPRS Locates Post Tension in Slab on Grade - D.C.

A contractor needing to work underneath a slab on grade contacted Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Washington D.C./Virginia to investigate. GPRS scanning aids contractors in reducing the likelihood of subsurface obstruction strikes during drilling, cutting, trenching, anchoring and other construction/demolition processes. GPRS, used GSSI Sir-3000 technology, to locate anomalies typical of Post-Tension cables in the slab. This information confirmed the contractor’s suspicion of the Post-Tension slab on grade. The on-site scanning and marking process was completed within a few short hours and the contractor was able to begin the project in a timely fashion and with valuable information of what to expect. This was all done in a safe, time efficient, non-destructive way. The radar emits radiation less than 1% of that found to be emitted by standard cell phones which eliminates the threat of hazardous radiation to operators or persons above or below the work zone.

GPRS is proud to provide quick response time and easy, convenient scheduling. If you need Post-Tension mapping in the Washington D.C., Reston, Fairfax, Arlington, Alexandria or surrounding areas please contact Jeremy Campbell at 571-481-7166 or at Jeremy.Campbell@GP-Radar.com.
