GPR Scanning for Post-tension Cables TX

This scan was performed inside a new building off State St. in Dallas, TX. Several proposed core locations were to be drilled to run electric and plumbing for a new coffee shop. The concrete slab was reinforced with post-tension cables, and it was imperative that none were hit in the drilling process. Striking one of these reinforcing points could result in serious injury.

Prior to drilling for the anchors, David Hagenmayer, with Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc., was called out scan the proposed locations. David mapped out the steel reinforcement (PT) to within ¼ inch accuracy. The client was then able to safely drill holes for plumbing and electrical. The project was completed on time and under budget.

Ground Penetrating Radar is cost effective, non-hazardous, and provides data in real time.
