GPR Concrete Scanning of Oil Change Pit – Mt. Pleasant, PA

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems (GPRS) was requested to perform a Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) scan at a Walmart in Mt. Pleasant, PA. The purpose of this scan was to determine the location rebar in the concrete slab that surrounded the oil pit. The customer was planning to lower the safety grates over an oil pit, and to do this, they needed to know how much concrete covered the rebar in the floor.

GPRS scan the area around the safety grate, and determined both the location of the rebar, the spacing of the rebar, and the thickness of the concrete slab. As this scan was conducted, the results were documented for the client, and upon completion of the project, and full report of our findings was sent to the client.

If you have a project in the Pittsburgh or Western PA area and you need to locate utilities, subsurface obstructions or need to locate items embedded in concrete such as rebar, post tension cables or conduits, please contact GPRS Project Manager, Brian Allison by e-mail at brian.allison@gprsinc.com or by phone at 412-292-3266 for a free estimate.
